I felt that it was a much better song. I don't know why "Chasing Cars" became their first huge hit over "Run."

i've never heard "run," but it has to be a better song than "chasing cars."
that song has a nice build up...but at the end there's no climax, nothing sufficient to conclude the song. it's a very unfulfulling song.

Definetly. "Run" was a much better song than "Chasing Cars". Interesting that they both contain a theme of living and then leaving. Hmmm...

true! but they needed time to build up a following, and you can't release a single off an older album when a new one has just come out.
