Well you were in luck...
Because that is basically it – you saw the cool fights scenes I mean. After your tape ran out, they just showed Aang inside the little rock or ice hut thing he made (cannot remember which it was) and he was crying because he could not hold onto the “love” for Katara. He had to let her go as the old sage had told him earlier because that was the only way he could transform and free the Avatar was to let go of all earthy things – including his love for her. He was desperate to do this because Katara was still struggling to hold off the onslaught of Kioshi warriors so she had surrounded herself in a ragging typhoon of water, but they still had her surrounded. Prince Zuko and his sister was there which they seemed to be working together – or so it seemed. It continues with Aang having brief flashbacks of Katara, and him and her laughing and playing in past episodes and then he whispers to himself, “I’m sorry Katara.” Then his eyes light up and he bursts from the little hut thing and begins floating up into the air and everyone pauses (and Katara too) and stares at Aang as he floats up.
Then he is hit in the back with a lightning bolt from Azula, and Katara rushes over and catches him before he falls (with the help of a water-bended wave) and then Prince Zuko’s uncle comes in and helps hold Azula and Zuko back so that Katara can escape with Aang. Katara and the gang fly off on Appa and because Aang is so badly injured, Katara tries to help him by using the Spirit Oasis to heal him, but you don’t know if it helps or not yet. Then they cut to Azula and Zuko who are on the Earth king’s throne and she is telling Zuko how father will be pleased and honor to him will be restored and all that garbage, but he feels bad about what he has done – or maybe about disappointing his Uncle. They do not show him again, but you assume he is captured. Then it goes off from there. It was super sweet and a terrible tease of an ending- but definitely getting me to want to know how it picks up next season! There, hope I helped.

Aang enters the avatar state, but Azula hits him with a lightning blast while he is flying through the air. Katara then creates a huge tidal wave and catches him. Iroh then shows up holds off Azula and the Dai Li long enough for the group to escape. Katara uses her water from the Spirit Oasis to heal Aang's wounds. The Earth king has also joined the Avatar in escaping the city.
Later, Azula and Zuko are in the throne room where Azula is gloating over their victory, but Zuko already has doubts about what he has done, especially betraying and disappointing Iroh.

In addition to what the other guys said, when Azula blasted Aang with some sort of lightning blast, the "avatar state world" (the place with a huge staircase that leads to a big aang with glowing eyes and arrows), disintegrated, which probably meant that since Aang was defeated in the avatar state,, his past lives and avatar state ceased to exist. At least that's what i think.

Katara and Zuko were trapped in a cave together, Zuko's sis and the other two fire nation girls took over the earth kingdom and became the new boss of the Di'Lee. Zuko rejoined the fire nation and restored his honor. She killed Aang, and Katara brought him back to life as they left the earth kingdom with the king. You can probably see it at turbo nick. I hope this is somewhat helpful.

i presumed the finale of e book 3 replaced into truly awesome, even with the undeniable fact that it had a good purchase of cliff-putting questions. yet I nevertheless imagine it replaced into the most exhilerating, awesome, action-filled, romantic 2-hour season finale ever to be made contained in the heritage of animation!
