A Fermi calculation, say that the average life expectancy is 65... then for 6.5 billion, that is 6500 million people...regeneration requires a 100 million per year (deaths & births)... or 2 million per week...

Now, obviously, an increasing population size means more*, 'nfant mortality means more*, lower life expectancy average means more*, but it is a good 'starting guestimate'...
