I am very emotional and very compassionate and, yes, I can relate to people on that level. Many people will tell you that it is a weakness, but in all actuality it is one of the best traits you can have because you have the abilty to put others before yourself and you are not selfish and only think of yourself and your needs like so many others in this world.

Keep doing your thing. The break out person is always the one who goes againt the grain and is not a follower and scared to think for themselves.

Yes it is true, some of us are more sensitive than others and emotionally and spiritually we can relate to others. Just the other day I emailed a friend haven't talked to in awhile just to let him know I was thinking about him and hoped he was doing fine. I then found out that a very close friend of his committed suicide and my friend was depressed but because i emailed him it made him feel better.

Emotions reflect one inner feelings. We are all emotional in different ways. Some hide their emotions, but the emotions still exist. Some are conservative and some are outgoing. An outgoing person is more open at expressing their feelings. Some, who are conservative with their emotions, are afraid of ridicule, so they hide their feelings. Those who are open and freely express themselves, are more well balanced. They do not care what others think of them, because they are confident in themselves. A person who is confident, and open is more likely to care about others and relate better to others. While those who are more intraverted may sense feelings of others, they are less likely to express it. Those who are more extraverted are more likely to relate to others and expres it. Some people are soley intraverted. They are great thinkers, independent, conservative with thoughts and emotions, more quiet, and more self absorbed. Extraverts are often "people people". They are free with their emotions. Share thoughts and ideas, outgoing, social, sharing etc. There are also some who have both extravert and intravert aspects. Some can be mainly extraverted with some personal intraverted traits and vice versa. There are tested one can take to see how you rate. Most people know where they fit in by knowing themselves. Neither is all good or all bad. It is simply who we are and we are all equally important. It is also possible to change who we are if we desire. A shy person would most likely be intraverted. If that person wanted to be more outgoing, they could identify ways to change and be more outgoing and become more etraverted. When we get out of ourselves, we are more likely to care about others and connect with them.

Therefore, your friend is correct!

I think that is true! Emotional people share their thoughts and feelings to others. In effect, they are able to build a literary piece(e.g.story, song etc) that will give other people an insight of a particular significant experience that they have/ had.

It also helps if you are a girl. Girls tend to cry more than men. Often than not, girls are more open and free to speak up that's why they tend to live longer than the opposite sex.

No, not uniformly. Emotional people are not necessarily empathetic people. Would you like Sid Vicious as your best friend?
