when i change gear the revs stick on for a sec and also when you just rev it? i have had many theorys but does anyone know what it is? I know its not the clutch or the accelerator cable so what is it? Its an M reg 1995 vauxhall cavalier, manual, petrol 1.8ltr
Please help me , is there any test i can do to find out whats wrong have also posted the same question before but people keep telling me its the throttle cable frayed or getting stuck, but its not! The car still takes a few seconds for the revs to drop when you rev it using the part under the bonnet not the cable and nothing is sticking! thanks

it can be a pair of issues, the throttle could be sticking ie cable or the carburettor could be taking part in up the different element is to take it to a storage and have them attempt the ecu for faults as this could tell them what's incorrect.

Its more than likely the fuel/engine management computer needs reprogramming or replacing. You’ll need to take it in I’m afraid.

i own a repair shop, and it has a bad sensor on it,,that's what is causing this to happen,,you need to take it by any auto zone ,and have them scan it for you,,they can tell you which one it is,and the scan is free, also,,this is the best way to deal with it,,then this way you don't spend any un-necessary money on it,,good luck with it,i hope this help,s.,,have a good x-mas.
