I want to participate in an accelorated program for getting my diploma. The problem is, my dad wants to see my walk for graduation. Is there any way I can go to school and get my diploma early, but still walk for graduation? Does anyone know of a way I can take homeschooling classes and still go to high school in order to catch up? I am behind due to hurricane katrina. Email me at Mynameissteff@yahoo.com or im me at Mynameissteff for yahoo. http://myspace.com/steffaneiscool if you need more information.

Check out http://keystonehighschool.com. My 16 year old son is homeschooled and completes all of his courses through Keystone. It is an accredited school and you can complete a course entirely via correspondence in as little as 8 weeks (or as long as a year). You should investigate the school and then talk to your high school with regard to whether you can transfer in the courses. You SHOULD be able to, but you might have to fight with your school about it if they are close-minded.

I graduated early from high school by taking tons of extra classes at school, at a local community college (you could do that, too, if you have one in your area), and in the summer. I WISH I had known about Keystone when I was in high school--it has been around for 30 years.

Good luck!

You can try to talk to the school within you region, and describe your situation and see if any of the work you have done is applicable to their criteria and go from their. Talk to thier Directors, or send them letters or emails.

Hope this helps, at least to give a place to start. Good Luck! Hope you can walk the stage. If not, don't let it get you down, get your diploma, take pictures at a studio with a cap and gown and that as well is good. Remeber you diploma is what counts, that shows all the struggles and sacrifices you've gone through mental and physical test you passed and yet manage to come out on top, everything else is ceremonial.

I don't know you but I'll still be proud, because you didn't give up. Never stop learning!
