Do you have any albums or singles on vinyl, and if so, do you have a way to play them?

Are they hand me down records from your Parents or older sibilings, or did you buy them new?

Do you spin them very often?

are you a DJ type who buys new 12" and spins old skool style?

What kind of music do you have on vinyl?

(I have a lot of club/old skool disco 12" and old Jazz albums myself.)

Hey jin-jur, I have some Bowie stuff too, my prize possession is a 12" single of "Fame" in a jacket autographed by Bowie and a couple of his bandmates. My oldest Brother hooked me up with this as a kid in the EIghties and I still own it, and I will never part with it because it's so damn cool!

I have about 400 LPs and maybe 100-200 45's. I have 3 pro-level turntables and... I virtually never play 'em. I have bought about 3/4 of my 400 LPs on CD (Still hoping that about 20-30 more of 'em get reissued on CD). Sometimes I find an example where the CD does not sound as good as the vinyl, but it's outweighed by the convenience of CD and the fact that there's no popping/crackiling.

Actually... I should clarify and add that ALL my CDs (about 1500) are now in my iPod and I don't even play them anymore, either. It's all on hard drive. And I never download illegally. I PREFER to own the music on CD.

Yes I have a TON of vinyl. Some are hand-me-downs from my grand-parents...that's mostly jigging/ fiddle tunes. Some are my Dads that he was going to throw out and I just couldn't bare it..those include some Johnny Cash stuff, Don Williams, Gordon Lightfoot etc. Then I have a poop load of my own such as Bowie rarities, 12"s, b-sides, promos, one of the crown jewels of my collection is a David Bowie demo. It says on the back "To book David Jones (Bowie's real last name is Jones) contact such and such an agency" so that one is a definite keeper!! I've got the Space Oddity album on clear vinyl (neat!) and a catalogue of Bowie singles on 45' picture disks. I have quite a bit of Kate Bush stuff also have some U2 records which I can't part with. One picture disk I have is an old Madonna one...can't remember the song title but it almost sounds like punk music which is pretty cool. So yeah, I have lots of records of various colours and shapes, 45's and 33's. Even have a few of those 78 rpm ones! I do have a record player but I only use it once in a blue moon. I will probably never part with my them though, there's nothing like the crackling sound you can only get from a record!

Hello. Yes, I have over 2000 vinyl albums, 1000 12" remixes, 300 45s. All of which I purchased new myself. I'm an oldschool dj from the 80s. Right now I'm just playing on an old record player as I gave my 'setup' away to a friend just starting out a couple years ago. However, you know how the blood boils, so I'm now, well after Christmas, gonna get me a new 'setup' so I can play in the 'playround' again!

I have quite a few old 45's. I'm from the age where we actually listened to 45s and LP albums.. I'm 52. So, I use mine once in a while, but I'm worried about scratches, etc. I'm definitely NOT a DJ.. I have these only because I've had them since I was a kid. I have Beatles, Beach Boys.... lots of 60s and 70s era records.

I alos have a reel to reel system I got in the 70s while in the Army. It's very old as these things go, but it still works, and it sounds great!

Yes, I have 45's and 33's. Two are mine...I bought them myself (and I'm only 30!). One is New Edition's Blue Moon Album and the other is the Force MDs. The others I own are hand me downs....Prince, Luther Vandross, Cameo, Earth Wind and Fire, etc.

I have a record player to play them on, but I don't play them often at all. I'm eventually going to transfer them to CD.

Oh, and I'm not a DJ....I'm just a lover of music.
