Honestly, when I was in my last job, (line mechanic and aircraft engineer, see picture), I truly enjoyed my job, and didn't dread mondays at all. Every day was different, I got to work outside with my closest mates, got to travel the world through work and marshalling aircraft away was exciting. I felt very important and privileged to do it.

The Squadron and Base I was on closed down (Due to government cutbacks... I'll never vote Labour!) and I was moved (kicking and screaming) to a desk job. I hate it. I now understand why people go "I hate mondays". I hate getting up in the morning, as I know I'll be bored out of my mind at work. I've now seen both ends of the spectrum and want to go back to "lineying" as soon as I can. I miss it soooo much.

I don't dread Monday mornings. I like my job and I like the people I work with. In fact, I look forward to Mondays more than the weekend.
If you dread Mondays, then change your life. You're the only one living it. If you're not happy, then do the things it takes to make yourself happy.
Good luck.
And to Miss Tickle: Speak for yourself, some of us like what we do. If you're not happy, change it.

I imagine that you need to find a new line of work. I always LOVED MONDAYS! I taught school over twenty years and couldn't wait for MONDAY MORNING to begin anew. Become your own hero and remember why it is you began working where you are and how fun it was in the beginning! I hope that this helps. Become an optimist that feeling always spreads around a workplace. Have a great holiday!

Yes ! I do - I have to take 2 Valium and a gargle of Baileys to face the morning - all you get on a Monday is everyones moans & groans about what happened at the weekend..and if Rangers & Celtic have been beaten - its time to hide under the desk.... I like to be a wee bit spaced out til' lunch time - to cope with it.

I LOVE Monday Mornings as it's start of a lovely week. I HATE Friday Afternoons, as that means 2 days to sheer boredom.
