Would you rather pay an employee who is lazy, and has no drive minimum wage, or would you rather pay someone much more than minimum wage who works hard bringing value to the work they do?

do you guys realize that when you give people more money, they work harder. If you're not paying someone enough money to live, then why should they be a dedicated employee. They are not lazy, they are underpaid

An employee who produces will always be rewarded if not in one shop in another. The only good thing about minimum wage is that it gives an employer the ability to put more people on the job. This gives a larger pool to select good employees from. A rise in minimum wage usually causes a drop in the total number of people working. Therefore some folks do not get an opportunity to show how good they could be.

Well, I pay more than min wage for unskilled labor. But I choose the more skilled, higher paid employee. I have more important things to do than watch over some shoulder and babysit. Like answer questions on Answers. OK, get back to work.

I have never paid Minimum wage, i start all employees at $10.00 per hour and if they cannot cut it they are gone#
