My teacher gives ultra hard questions but i was alarmed when he gave us this question as an assignment.

It's easy. Conversion. There are 1000 mm and 100 cm.
So for 30mm/1cm * 1 cm/ 10 mm= 30/10=3 cm.

3cm/1in * 1in/2.54cm= 1.18 in

I hope that's correct.

Hi >
All I know, as a dad of two boys, the dimensions of the birthing pools, and the temperatures required. I have no notion of dilation of the necessary bits, other than it needs to be biggish.
I just look after the pumps, filtration, etc, and leap in at the crucial moments.
Your teacher I feel , is putting an unecessary question.
Nature happens, at any dimension.
Yours,
Bob.

All I know is that if you happen to be the father of the child, standing next to the woman in labor, any attempt to calculate the answer will get you whacked in the head by the woman in labor.

10mm=1cm
1mm=(1/10)cm
30mm=(30)*(1/10)=3 cm

now 1inch=2.5 cm
so 30 mm=3cm=3/2.5 inch=1.2inches
