Have listened to just about all of the versions of the song and I don't like it sung .I do like Kenny G's version but he does not sing it.

Bing Crosby's version became his best-seller of the 1930s. It is still my favorite. Throughout his life, Bing Crosby refused to accept any money for his rendition of this song. Instead, all royalties were donated to charity. Bing believed it was wrong for, as he put it, a gambler & itinerant singer to profit from holy songs.

I know! Have you heard Stevie Nicks' version of it? It's hilarious!
I think I heard Luther Vandross singing it, but I'm not really sure. That couldn't have been too bad.

i got Simon and Garfunkel singing it...it's really good..but there's something wrong with it: when you listen to the right speaker of your headphones you hear them singing...and when you listen to the left speaker you hear some some sort of news headlines... lol!!!!

i think it should ONLY be sung by a choir. or else left strictly instrumental. Vienna boys choir does a fantastic job.I think it sounds best played on an organ with bell choir accompaniment.
