The record of search history which appears in the search box on Yahoo! and all other search sites is actually a feature controlled by your browser, not Yahoo! or the search site. If you have Internet Explorer as your browser, you may stop the search history from being generated by following the instructions below: 1. Select the the 'Tools' menu in Internet Explorer. 2. Select 'Internet Options', then select the 'Content' tab. 3. Under Personal information, click on the 'AutoComplete' box. On the AutoComplete Settings window you can click the 'Clear Forms' box to delete your current history, or you can uncheck the Forms box to permanently stop the generation of the search history. A single item can be deleted by pressing the 'delete' key while the item is highlighted. If you have Firefox as your browser, you may stop the search history from being generated by following the instructions below: 1. Select the the 'Tools' menu in Firefox. 2. Select 'Options', then select the 'Privacy' button, and then the 'Saved Forms' tab. In the window you can click the 'Clear Saved Form Data Now' box to delete your current history, or you can uncheck the "Save Information' box to permanently stop the generation of the search history. A single item can be deleted by pressing the 'shift delete' key while the item is highlighted.

Hi there,
What you need to do is the following:
Internet Options > Delete Cookies> Delete Files >Tick on the 'delete all off-line content' box, click ok and lastly delete history - Close Internet explorer and re-open.
Hope this helps.

This means that your "autocomplete" is on, and you can change by going: Control Panel>Internet Options>Content(tab at the top of the screen)>Click on "settings" on the autocomplete heading and clear the ticked boxes>then click "clear forms". That should do something. I learned this trick when i wanted to clear all the porn sites i visited in the school computer room. If you uncheck the ticked boxes i told you about they should never come back. Good luck!

On the menu bar - tools/ Internet options / content tab.
Depending on your version follow the instructions.
You may also need to delete the entries from the search bar.

Whilst on the inernet, go into "tools", then click on "internet options". Once in there, click on "clear history", and then click on "apply", then OK.
If you really want to eliminate all trace, then also click on the option to delete all cookies.
Good luck

You need to go to the 'autocomplete' settings to stop it from appearing in the search window. Google autocomplete and you should find several ways of disabling it.
CC cleaner does all this type of stuff with one click of a button and its free.
