FOR THE LIFE OF ME I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY EMPLOYEES KEEP ABUSIVE PEOPLE ON IN THEIR PLACE OF BUSINESS. I.E. FAT LADY AT WORK ABUSES EVERYONE THERE AND CLAIMS SHE CANT STOP BECAUSE THATS HER PERSONALITY. I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY THESE PEOPLE DONT FIND SOMEONE WHO DOSES A GREAT JOB AND HAS RESPECT FOR THOSE THEY WORK WITH. THIS WOMEN HAS USED RACIAL REMARKS IN THE OFFICE AS WELL AS VERBAL ABUSE TO HER COWORKERS. SHE YELLS AT PEOPLE AND DEMANDS PEOPLE TO DO THINGS FOR HER WITHOUT A THANK YOU OR ANYTHING ELSE. SHE HAS THE OFFICE MANAGER SNOWBALLED BIG TIME. I WONDER IF THE MANAGER IS NOT DOING HER JOB WELL AND THEREFORE KEEPS THIS BLOB ON AS HER COVERUP. IT IS A PITIFUL SITUATION AND I FEEL SORRY FOR THE DOCTORS THEY WORK FOR BECAUSE THEY DESERVE BETTER. THIS EMPLOYEE HAS MADE OTHER PEOPLE SO MISERABLE THEY HAVE EVEN STAYED HOME FROM WORK JUST SO THEY DONT HAVE TO BE ABUSED.

This is a hard situation; however not an impossible one. Document all of your experiences whether direct or indirect. Be as concise as possible listing witnesses etc. Many times if you can easily relate this to loss of dollars, managers will be more apt to listen. Yes, this will require you to do more than work than just your job; however this woman's actions indirectly affects your job already and that of others. Is there someone in a managerial role that you can go to? If so, do not go yet, collect some instances and then go to them. There is more a manager type can do with written documentation and supporting witness statements than just a verbal report. This woman may also try to use some sort of 'disability' if she were to be confronted about her behavior, therefore you will want to have some proof that she is simply someone that does not bring harmony to the office. Employee morale is critical and if employees are already staying home - the morale is low and this woman appears to be at the helm of discord. Your work environment should be enjoyable and NOT abusive. I hope that this helps. Unfortunately, even though she is causing the disturbance it will take more work on your side to remedy the situation. I applaud you on trying to make your workplace enjoyable.

Someone needs to go over the office manager's head and complain to the doctors. Maybe get all the other employees together that have had problems with her and write a formal complaint and everyone sign it and give it to them.

Report her to someone higher up.
File a grieviance procedure.
Tell her to do her own work and stop ordering others about.
Report her if she makes racial remarks
Tell her to get a life
Do anything it takes, but get rid of her.
