Know who you are and what you want first, before bringing anyone into your life. Once you understand that, then put yourself in an environment where you will meet someone that you can strike up a conversation with easily. For instance...If you are in to art...go to the museum or art shows, etc. Maybe it's sports...Go to a sports bar to watch a game......
