When I was young I couldn't waitr for the cold and snow. I thought that was the best time to be out and about.
Now that i am old I like warm all the time.
Snow icecream, icicles to suck on, frosty breath to make designs on the window, snow balls to throw at the girls, slipsliding around and hot chocolate.

I love winter; I especially love going outside with my camera when the trees all have freshly fallen snow coating them and the sun is making them sparkle. And there is also snowshoeing, skiing, sledding, snowball fights, winter camping. I say all of this now; ask me again in the middle of February and I'll likely have a different answer.

Hi Ken,
I too use to love winters. It must be the children we once were. But now I live in a sub-trpoical zone. We have winter.....but nothing like when I was a child. I think it was 2 years ago, we had a white Christmas! I loved seeing the snow on the palm trees! But by the end of Christmas Day...it was gone. But I perfer a little warmer days. But...I also hate the humidity we have. I think that is harder on me than anything right now. But I would never want to re-live the winters past.

I do not like the winter at all. It is cold, dark, gray, and very depressing, I think. I hate snow because I have to drive in it and don't even mention the ice, which we have plenty of too! I really am not a negative type person, I just need to move south!

The holidays seem much more festive in cold weather if that is what you knew growing up. I grew up in NY, and have lived in South Florida for the last 14 years, and it is still strange to see palm trees and green grass, and have 70 degree days in the middle of winter. I like colder weather, but driving in ice and snow is the pits!

I wish I could depend on snow at Christmas! The change of seasons is great, but too much winter would not be a good thing. I'm more a spring and autumn type of person.

I moved from up nort where I couldn;t stand the winter... i love the warm weather, sunshine and general attitude of the warmer climate. When I go back up north to visit my dad, (like at Christmas time) I know in a few hours why i moved south.
