Seriously is it realisticly possible to be friends with the oposite sex and not think of them in that way? Ever! Also would you be friends in the first place within someone who is completely unattractive?

Not to sound callous, but the easiest way to be friends with someone of the opposite sex, is pick someone who isn't attractive(at least to you). The down side, is that as you become better friends, the next level starts looking more and more inviting. That once unattractive friend, suddenly seems more attractive now that you can laugh so hard milk comes out your nose infront of them, and you are not embarrassed.
On a side note, if you do find someone of the opposite sex that you can just be friends with, most people you do date will not necessarily be comfortable with your opposite sex "friend". A hard road either way.

I think it is definitely possible to be only friends! I have plenty of male friends that I have never considered kissing, much less dating. It actually gets to the point where you consider them as family and that nulls any attraction that may have taken place otherwise.
And yes, I would be friends with someone I considered unattractive. I think that it would make the friendship easier and more stable if I wasn't tempted at all to become "more" than friends! LOL

One of my very closest friends is a guy 11 years younger than I, so yes, it is possible. At one time, we were attracted to each other, but we agreed we'd rather be close friends than lovers. I have never thought I was attractive, but he says that I look great. We see each other's hearts with our own, and that's the important thing.

It is very rare that a man and a women develop a friendship and have no attraction to each other at all. Though it does happen. My best friend for 18 years now is a woman.

Yes, I have lots of friends of the opposite sex. Not interested in them in 'that' way at all, they are just fun to hang out and do things with.
Not sure in what way you are defining 'unattractive', so it would depend. A person's personality matters more to me than looks.

Sure :) i have a few really good male friends and mind u some like me more but i don't like them anymore then just a friend and they know thats all we'll ever be and they are cool with that :D

I think so, I have a few really great male friends. It has to be mutal though. You can't be friends with someone you know has a different attraction to you. I enjoy my male friends. They usually give me a great perspective on the things.

what does the level of being attractive have to do with having friends??? i think if you will only have attractive friends that you are a very superfiscaial person. therefore you have other issues to deal with than "just being friends". you may find that some people that are not that attractive can also be nice people and may become your very best friends!!!
