i was told by the retailer that he would give me a recovery disc after purchasing a new compaq presario .now he says this is impossible

the new laptops that are shipeed nowadays do not ship with recovery discs but are shipped with software so that u can burn ur own recovery set but be aware u can only do this once or if u feel tis is a hassle jus call up hp/compaq customer support and ask them for ur free set of recovery discs if ur lucky mostly ull get it all the best

there is a tutorial about making recovery discs on compaq's just have to search for it.

Contact HP...you can have them send you a recovery disk for your system.

Get Norton Ghost and make your own. That's the best way.
