as Bush once said sarcastically, "It's amazing what one can do with telephones and fax machines"

Sure you don't have to be at the office to get things done. It is a global economy and when your job involves making decisions you can do it wherever you have a phone, email or Fax. I worked in a real estate office with people all around me at the start of my career in the field and then went to the home office situation. Many people said it wouldn't work, that you would be distracted by being at home but I have never found that to be the case. The important thing is to be available and with the cell phone you are instantly available. I can conduct business, make decisions and manage my transactions from my car, on the golf course, out on the Lake, out on a jog, in a store or wherever. I have made a comfortable living and I find it easier to work when I am not cooped up with a bunch of gregarious, gossipy and needy fellow Realtors. The White House is just a symbol and Presidents can conduct business anywhere on the globe and it is probably safer to be globe trotting anyway.

With the world wide web and mobile technology why not?
Certain work that needs focusing on problems solving need to be done in office with full concentration without distraction only then will get it done in planet of apes.
While on mobile we have fun along the way in striking the ball.
Real work have to be done at home-base.

He tried to cut 154 programs from the budget, that seems like quite an accomplishment. If you can't get rid of the EPA, underfund it, it's as good as dead. Who really needs national parks, seems like a waste to me, and while he was on vacation on his ranch, kids were dying everyday in Iraq, losing there arms and legs, fighting for his agenda. At the very least it seems like a lack of respect for those troops for him to be on vacation 2/3 of the time

President Bush is a Salary paid employee of the American people. There for he doesn't have to clock in or out. Further more I can bet dollars to doughnuts the he puts in more hours then the other employess of the American People congress.

Who`s work is he doing? Mine, yours or corporate America`s? The one significant contribution GW Bush has made to the world, is to point at what he has been told are the enemies of freedom and democracy and make people scared of them. He has created the enemy not you or me.
