You can get thrush very easily if you are very sensitive 'down there'. Simple things such as soap, washing powder, perfumes, tights, silky knickers, condoms, to name but a few can cause awful thrush. Even using the recommended treatments doesn't always get rid of the thrush. The only thing to get rid of regular occuring thrush is a tablet called 'diflucan', you can buy it from the chemist (about £12, but well worth it), or get it from your doctor. But once your thrush has gone you have to continue to refrain from using anything that could trigger it. It takes time to eliminate different things. The symptons are a very sore itching and as if something is 'eating you up' inside. Also a very thick creamy discharge. Not a nice feeling at all. Good Luck.

First off who has the thrush? From my experiences I can tell you this; When you are delivering a baby and you have a yeast infection this can lead to the baby carrying thrush. It's a yeast infection of the mouth. The baby can then pass thrush onto you, (your breasts) if you are breast feeding. I'm not sure how it feels in the mouth but I'm guessing painful because my babies had a hard time eating. I can tell you that it is very painful on the breasts. Every time I fed my babies it felt like my nipples were being cut with razor blades. I had no visible symptoms on my breast but my babies had white dots in their mouthes. It's not an STD. You can however pass a yeast infection on to your partner or you can develop thrush by having oral sex. It is easily treated with prescription medicine. Hope this helps

Thrush can be sexually transmitted, if your partner has it of course. On men, its usually a redness round the head of the penis, itching, discomort when peeing etc.
It's a build up of a fungal bacteria Candida. It can be caused if your immune system is low, stress, poor cleaniless, too close underwear so the area is warm and this allows the bacteria to grow.
So get some canestan cream and capsule to treat it, and just keep clean.
And sometimes eating too much sugary foods and yeasty foods doesn't help.

Thrush is a yeast infection. The bacteria is naturally present in the body but sometimes gets out of hand so you get thrush. Discharge like cottage cheese(GROSS SORRY), & intense itching. Can be sexually transmitted but not always. Can be caused by some antibiotics, having diabetes, wearing tights, nylon knickers, using perfumed soap, wearing jeans too tight etc etc. you can get caneston or diflucan from doc or chemist to treat it

Thrush is a yeast infection that can be transmitted into your mouth from well.....if you man has a yeast infection on his peepee and well you know....babies get thrush from falling asleep with breast milk or formula in there mouths. You can get it on your nipples if baby has thrush and you are nursing. You can get thrush in mouth from certain antibiotics. If you have thrush then your mouth will be sore and covered in white stuff and tongue can swell makes it hard to eat and swallow. Antibiotics that are a liquid form you can get from your Dr. It doesn't go away on its own.

Is this a child you are speaking of? Another name for it is "hand, mouth, foot" - babies get it often. You know if you bite the inside of you mouth how you get that little "white spot" - thrush is just that way in appearance but lots of spots. It is contagious to other children - I think up to the age of 3 (look it up on the computer). My granddaughter (age 1 now), just had it a few months ago. Need to get meds for it.

Yeast infection means fungal overgrowth. Vaginal yeast infections are one of the most common reasons women seek healthcare. According to research or other evidence, the following self-care steps may be helpful:

Thrush is ONE of the symptoms of HIV / AIDS.
Thrush looks and feels like you have bitten your tounge, the skin peels off, quite nasty.
