Hattie Hayridge, who played the female incarnation of Holly in Red Dwarf is not dead, she still attends Red Dwarf fan conventions occasionally along side Norman Lovett, who played the male incarnation of Holly.

I think Daniel R got it right - Linda Smith, another brilliant blonde deadpan comic died. Which, incidentally, sucks! Didn't find out about that till I was in a bookstore with her "collected works" in my hand.
As far as I know, Hattie Hayridge is still very much with us...
