need to get counties between bastrop,tx & pt. arthur ,tx?

I'm assuming that you're travelling down highway 71 and then on I-10. If that's there case, then you'll pass through Bastrop, Fayette, Colorado, Austin, Waller, Fort Bend, Harris, Chambers, and Jefferson Counties.
