if i just read the book "the da vinci code"..have i finished reading the whole story or are there any pre sequals or sequals to this book?

Dan Brown isn't going to do a sequel, as such. BUT the speculation is that his new book will deal with many of the same themes he dealt with in the Da Vinci Code. It too is going to be about conspiracies and codes, etc. For more take a look at:

So we won't likely won't see Sophie Neveu again but I think we will see Robert Langdon in the next one...He was also in Brown's earlier on, Angels and Demons (2000). The next one should be out soon!

Angels and Demons, not really anything to do with that particular story but along the same lines. It's quite good, I suggest you read it if you liked Da vinci code.

edit: Oh and it's the same main character.

Angels and Demons is a prequel for the most part. Same main character. I think its the better of the two as well.
