I'm fortunate to work only 5 minutes from where I live so I go home every day for lunch. I usually just eat apples so probably $10 a week worth...

I work across a large shopping mall woth a diverse food court so I buy my lunch there.
Usually I spend around R20 to R30 (which is around US$5)
For that amount, I can choose between, amongst others:
Quarter Pounder w/ Cheese meal Large size
Standard sized pizza with 2 toppings
Chicken burger, chips and bottomless coke
Various fresh sandwiches eg: A New Yourk style pastrami on rye
Beef or Chicken wraps
Beef, Chicken or Lamb scharmas

I go home everyday for lunch. I might grab something once or twice a month. So I guess my average is around 30 or 40 cents a day.

About 5 to 6 bucks, which is why I have made a new vow to bring my lunch as much as possible.

I think a good lunch will cost you between $7 and $10 bucks...unless you eat in a school caf...you guys are lucky there...man they have some good meals too! LOL
