Because the President of the USA can afford to act according to some moral norms.
I would not go so far to claim that most European countries are immoral, but they don't have comparable military to defend themselves, have significant Muslim electorate to appease, due to large Muslim population are more threatened by terror and their economies depend almost completely on Arab oil and heavily on exports into Arab countries.

Go back to when the country of Israel was reformed by UN charter. Why did the Arab countries not go along with the UN? If it was OK for the Arabs not to go along with the UN why is it wrong for the US?

Being right does not mean following in the crowd, I am constantly amazed the the Arab world whole focus of hatred is a nation the size of lake Ontario when you try to find it on a globe it is virtually impossible because of it's size.
