PROFS DON'T CARE WHO DOES THE WORK, AS LONG AS IT GETS DONE! Unless you are being assessed on group work and participation, your professor doesn't want to hear you whining. They want to see a good final product. Do the work and decide whether or not to put the group members' names on it, and even do the presentation solo, but don't go crying to your prof. That just shows you're immature and not able to handle things for yourself. If I did that in university my profs would have laughed me right off campus.

This might sound lame... but pick a few people in your class you would like to be friends with, and randomly ask them what they are doing at the weekend, when they answer carry on the conversation and eventually ask to add them on facebook/twitter whatever you use.. and try to get to know them better on there at first.. comment on their pictures, randomly send them videos/jokes etc that they might find funny and talk about your course, maybe meet up for study sessions etc.. and hopefully one or 2 of them will become a long term friend :) I think the number one rule for making new friends is... don't wait for them to talk to you, you make the first move :) hope this helps :)

The problem is, it counts for 10% of YOUR grade. So don't shoot yourself in the foot by being mad at the others. Unfortunately, you will find this situation to be the case for the rest of your life. Fortunately, MOST people (ie future employers) will realize who is performing and who isn't. Bottom line, you have to be able to look in the mirror. So do the best job you can do and don't worry about everyone else and what they think.

I would do it and put JUST your name on it. Does your professor take attendance? If so he has proof they are not in class. I would inform him that next time you would like to be put in a group that attends class. There are ways around this, such as team charters and logs that your professor should ask for, but its too late at this point.

If your professor won't listen,. go to the head of his or her department and have a discussion with them,.. get it all on record as to whats going on and such,. that way,. if it comes down to it, and you get screwed,.. you will have a paper trail to follow when you protest your grade to the university,...
I hate group projects... THe have no place in college,. your paying fro your education,. not paying to rely on other worthless dolts...

Do you have their email addresses? I would document attempts to get together with these people and then document attendance. After that, I would do the project myself and include my documentation. Put your name on it only.
