What is the role of death in this novel? Where is it discussed or implied? Who talks about death? What do they say? What does it mean?

I know that the nameless character talks a lot about death (death on a businesstrip, and etc.). Also, I know that the characters get an identity or are given names when they die (i.e. Robert Pulson, nameless character doesn't have a name). What does this say about death??

Fight Club was more about the breakdown of society and hitting bottom. Robert Paulson was someone Tyler/Narrator was close to before the start of the fight clubs and the reason that members of Project Mayhem had names in death was because of the Space Monkey's inability to see that Tyler/Narrator was infact crazy.

Im not positive, but im pretty sure that Chuck P didnt have death in mind when he was writing it, nor does the book have that feel to it. Lullaby had closer ties with death than Fight Club.
