I am 2 weeks late, and have made a doctors appointment that will be in a few weeks. I'm just anxious to know!

I am 2 weeks late, and made a doctors appointment as soon as I took the tests. My appontment will be in a couple of weeks. In the meatime, I'm finding it very hard not to take another pregnancy test as I'm so excited!! This is my first, and I guess I always thought I'd "feel" pregnant.

With my first son I didnt have any signs of pregnancy other than 2 positive pregnancy tests! I didnt get the signs until 2 and 1/2 months then I was getting sick all the time! I suggest going to the doctor for a blood test, but I'm pretty sure it will say the same thing. Good luck with your little one!

Pregnancy tests can not show a false positive. They are however capable of showing a false negative. In other words sometimes the strength of the hormone that the test is looking for is just not high enough and you will get a negative answer. In this case, if you wait a little longer you will eventually get a positive test. If the test is positive that means that it detected the presense of HCG and that means that you ARE pregnant. Positive pregnancy tests are NOT wrong.
I suppose it is possible that if you had a blood test and the labratory mixed your test up with someone elses then it could be wrong but I don't think that is what you are asking. You say that you have taken 2 tests, I assume by that , you are doing them yourself at home. If they are positive, you are pregnant.
It may not seem real right now but believe me, it will!
Congratulations! Feel free to contact me if you have any other questions. I will write back to you.
Blessings,
Lady Trinity~

I am going on my 3rd week of pregnancy and the only "sign" I have is sometimes I get a little crampy. Other than that I have no real signs at all. Every women is different. Your symptons may come later or maybe they won't come at all. If you have taken 2 test and both came back positive I am 99% sure you are pregnant. I have taken 6 test ( at my husbands request) all have been positive. Are you late? How late are you? I wasn't even late when I took my test I still had 5 days to go before I would have started. Just give it time. You may be the lucky ones who just flies through pregnancies with no problems. Good luck to you!

Hi
If you have taken two positives tests then you definitely are pregnant, you just have no signs yet because to are so early, i remember feeling the exact same i did loads of tests i even thought there was something wrong. I now have a five month old son. Dont worry you'l definetly start to feel pregnant in the next couple of weeks.
Good Luck

Anything is possible, but I would say with 2 positives it's more than likely you are pregnant. I never had any pregnancy symptoms with either of my kids (except the obvious missed period and my belly bulging around 14 weeks). The only thing I had was migraines on occasion during the first trimester. I had a girl the first time and a boy the second. Maybe you'll be one of the lucky ones to breeze right though it.

You are pregnant. Home pregnancy test are very accurate. I took one and only got a drop of tinkle on the stick and it was POSITIVE! Some women don't show signs of pregnancy immediately. I did though. I am very in tune with my body and I didn't start my cycle on the 15th like I normally do and the pain felt different...I knew I was pregnant. I went to the dr and they did the blood work and dr said I was a week pregnant...crazy huh...oh this was last year in Dec. 2005. I had my baby in August. She is 3 months old.
What you can do is just go to the doctor and have it confirmed...but you are pregnant.

It is almost unheard of to get a true false positive.

However, are these the + type result tests, or the I I ?

If they are the kind with the +, sometimes the dye can bleed over from the control strip and color the hCG strip even though it's not detecting anything.

If they were both the + kind, get yourself one of the I I kind. If that comes out positive, too, I'd say you're pregnant.

That doesn't happen often, though.

Go to your doc for the blood test this will give you the true answer!. Medicines that have the pregnancy hormone hCG in them can give a 'false' positive test result. These can be medicines to treat infertility. A false positive is when a test says you are pregnant when you're not. So the proper blood work is defiantly the way to go.

I thought the same thing when I took a pregnancy test twice because the line was so faint and didn't have any signs of pregnancy except I didn't get my period that morning. I am now 34 weeks pregnant. I would go to your local health department if you don't have insurance. If you do have insurance call your dr and tell them you think you may be pregnant but not sure. Good luck!

i had no signs of pregnancy either..count yourself lucky, alot of people wish they had a sickness free pregnancy lol.. as for the test, i doubt it very much that it is wrong,as it works using a hormone called HGC (i think thats right) and ur body gets more when ur pregnant. if u was asking about a neg result i would say there is a bigger chance its wrong but not with positive, but then again no test is 100%..i guess you'll have to wait for the drs results i'm afraid..but i REALLY think u r..
goodluck on the results, and if the pregnancy is the news you wanted i wish u and ur bubs all the best
congrats!
