Both are good,
it depends upon what you are going to do.

now nvidia has the upperhand because of its new arrival geforce 8800 cards which supports DX 10. no other cards from ati supports it.

soon ati is going to release X2000 card which supports DX 10.

Buy my personal advice to you is get nVidia's geforce 7950 card

or if you have big budget go for geforce 8800 GTX

well....well...well....a quwstion that has haunted computer enthusiasts for years well if i personally use nvidia so please do pardon me if im a bit tilted to that side lol
anyways ati radeon has the upper hand on mid range and lower end graphic cards when i say lower end i mean cards like atix1300,atix1400,atix700 the first two are quite recent and found on new systems while the lat one maybe found mostly in older systems now to high end graphic cards nvidia now rules te market in this segment sum cards in this sectio are nvidia 7600gt ,nvidia7800,nvidia7900gs,nvidia7900gtx,nvidia7950gtx
these caeds are the best available now and have a similar price tag ati too has their line up suchh as the atix1800,atix1900 and ati x1950 but they ave tier disadvantage in price and benchmarks but then again benchmarks are no way to compare graphic cards in games theyre almost the same with nvidia having te upper hand with more pixel shaders and more memory bandwith there are also sli cards which is basically jus two graphic cards popped into one but thats just another section altogether.........

in my opinion i ought to bypass Nvidea not that i'm a fan boy or some thing yet i imagine oftentimes they beat ATI. That being suggested look into all playing cards in ur funds and make up your human being ideas.

NVIDIA Geforce 7600 GT and Geforce 7950 GX2 But these are very expensive. If you want to enjoy the video games that are coming these days, these are the best to enjoy lifetime experience of 3d games

depends. If your a linux user (doubt it) don't touch ATI. If your a windows user... beats me. flip a coin. Consumer reports can probably help you.
