I have a gas cooker stove that has electric igniting device, which clicks until the gas lights.
Well, now it clicks ALL the time even when all the gas buttons are in the off position. No gas is escaping, just the electic clicky noise. Driving me bonkers. . .diagnosis please

Each of the burner knobs has a switch in it that turns the "igniting device" on when turned to that position.. Sounds like one of the switches is stuck. You can try disconnecting them one by one and seeing which one cuts the ignition off. That is the one that will need replacing. Appliance Parts stores can get these. You find them in the Yellow pages under Appliances Major Parts section. Need model and serial number of range before calling or stopping by and they can easily look them up.

The ignitor is bad. Repair will cost you about $100 parts and labor.
