Tarnex is the BEST silver cleaner that I have tried. I used it on my mother in law's antique silver service to use for our wedding and all you do it pour a little on a cotton ball and wipe. No scrubbing or buffing required. It smells nasty, but it only lasts for a mew minutes.

Gorham's Silver Polish is one. Also if you are "sure" that it is solid real silver you can use "Tarnex" which is available at some supermarkets and drug stores. It is "instant" but will eventually remove silver plate if used often enough so only use on real solid silver. I prefer the silver polish for appearance as the tarnex and other "chemical strippers" leave the silver too flat and bright colored, The polish has a slightly more muted finish that looks more natural.

I use Twinkle, works really good. Better than anything else I have tried. But with silver you really have to keep it up, at least every 2 weeks. Sorry, but silver is a pain. You can have them coated and avoid all the cleaning.

There are some wonderful tarnish cleaners that can be purchased at drug stores and I believe some supermarkets have it also. There is one with a gray / brown bottle that is good--I can't remember the name of it, but I'M SURE that's where you find it.
