Repairing a Small Hole

Tools and Materials You Need:

Epoxy
Acrylic Paint
Masking Tape
Putty Knife

Step 1. Mix Putty: A small hole in a tile can be filled without actually replacing the tile. Mix a small amount of putty, using epoxy and acrylic paint to match your tile color. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on how to mix epoxy.

Step 2. Fill the Hole: Surround the small hole with a square of masking tape as seen in figure. Use a putty knife to fill in the hole with the putty. Allow the area to air dry according to the manufacturer's instructions on epoxy drying time.

There is a product I bought at Lowe's one time, it is made specifically for repairing holes and gouges in laminate counter tops. Worked wonders. And it comes in different colors. You might try that. Worse comes to worst, you can always chip it back out of the hole if you don't like it. I can't remember what it's called, but you can generally find it back where they sell premade laminate counter top pieces.

Remove a few other tiles and get a contrasting color and make a design on the floor.
