It depends on your state's marital property laws. Assuming your state has a 50-50 clause, meaning you and your spouse equally own everything, then you will both be responsible for all debts and expenses. Thus, if you write a check to an attorney, and have him file divorce for you, it will be like any other purchase you could make. The short answer is this: If you have access to your husbands money, simply use it to file for divorce, because it is your money too, as long as you're married to him. No different than going out and buying a major appliance!

Because The Obama didn't give a rat's azz about jobs. He could care less if people are working. The more people out of work the more people will depend on government, the more people depend on government the more people will vote for democrats. But, doesn't he just speak in such dulcet tones and he is just so smart. Yeah, right!

You can file for divorce and in the divorce ask for filing fees and court costs. However, you should definately retain a lawyer especially if there are children and/or a house involved.

You can ask in the divorce petition for him to pay for attorney fees. However, that will be determined on the reason for divorce (such as adultery, irreconcilable differences, etc). Also, the judge will determine that at the final hearing. My advice would be to find an attorney that does free consultations and see what they tell you. Good luck.

Pass what bill on to who? You need to be a little bit more specific on what kind of answer you are looking for.

Wow.

You're going to have to pay your own lawyer. If He pays for YOUR representation then how are you ever going to be sure that YOUR lawyer looked after YOUR interests?

Maybe if you didn't see you husband as a giant wallet you might be able to save your marriage.

I don't know the details, I just seem to sense an attitude of Entitlement...
