Long white dress, loads of diamante bling bling jewellery, hair all done up in a french pleat, false eyelashes the lot...........very elegant!!

Gotta be something real sexy - like the bond girls - a long evening dress with a plunging neck or back line and a long slit up the side - and as blacks flattering I'd go for a sexy black number and add some white accessories

Pick your fave Bond girl dress & try to replicate it. At this time of year you should have no prob picking up a slinky cocktail dress for £30-£50, glitzy accessories for a fiver or so each, not forgetting all those glam black or glittery heels you can get at the mo. High street's the place to be ;-D

I think there has been some really good answers (partic the fourth one up!) But as something a bit different how about: The Nightmare Before Christmas theme - it can either take on the film OR can be people's ideas of their own nightmares... OR Historical figures OR A colour theme? OR everyone comes as something beginning with the first letter of your company's name OR Mr and Miss World (everyone comes representing a country!) This is going to be an ultra formal ball. Look for a long dress, and it has to be black or white. Do not go with color, or a short dress. To get that "Bond girl" look, you want glamerous styles with rhinestones or some other glitz. Bond girls are always very sexy, with a very dramatic overall look. A fitted dress would be better than a wide A line or ballgown. Strapless, spagetti straps, halters, are all good neckline choices. A side slit would also be a great option. Then add some clear CZ, rhinestone, or crystal jewelry, if you don't have the option of diamonds, to finish off your look.

I think a long plain black gown with spaghetti straps and black opera length gloves. I think elegant yet simple jewellery like pearls or diamonds (fake diamonds).
