It helps if you are attractive or at least striking. Other components of charisma are voice, being a good/moving speaker, and being able to make people like you and want to be around you. For men, I;ve noticed that a type of men, "a man's man" is usually charismatic. For women, you'd have to be the kind of person they all admire or want to be like, like Oprah. To be more charismatic, you should study charismatic people and copy/mimic some of their techniques. You have to study people and how they are influenced and modify your behavior accordingly. Not everyone was born with charisma...

Check out a book entitled, The New Charisma. I don't recall the author's name. Good stuff. And don't listen to bitter people who think charisma means being fake. It is not something that is either good or bad, fake or genuine, in and of itself. Very honest, genuine people can be and are charismatic, and despicable, conniving people can be and are charismatic. And it's usually not too difficult to discern the two. People can fake honesty and genuineness just as readily as they can fake anything else.

Charm is fake. Why not work on being more genuine and more sincere. Work on being a truely better person instead. Personality, charm, charisma, etc is fake. It is like an actor in the world and wise people see through it easliy. Charcter is genuine and real. It does not change.
