Yeah, your right. Who cares about a few thousand people in Pearl Harbor, or the several million Europeans who fell under the Third Riech's march of evil. Heck, I didn't personally know anyone who died in the attack on The World Trade Center. I see your point, do you see mine?

Clearly, we can see that the UN & US non-response to the building tensions in Rwanda a decade ago was obviously the right answer. 800,000 blacks brutally murdered, but, hey, there was no war and Kofi Annan & Bill Clinton were better than the warmongers. Good for them. Only 800,000 people had to die for their valiant anti-war stance.
And we see the inaction towards Darfur, and have to conclude that bewailing the brutal murder and oppression of so many people is much better than saving them from death and torture. This way, we can morally preen ourselves and pat ourselves on the back and feel good about how much better we are than others. After all, it is only blacks dying by the hundreds of thousands - what's that compared to our moral superiority?

Unfortunately, peace in not a natural state for humankind. Peace must be forced upon a populace by an overwhelming force. The natural way humans solve their differences in by violence. Whenever that force which maintains the peace is weakened, civil unrest always erupts. When applying that to a global scale, wars always erupts between different societies and cultures when their isn't enough force to keep them in check.
What we are seeing now is the backlash of the fall of the Soviet Union. The USA is not powerful enough on its own to maintain peace on a global scale. Every dark cloud has its silver lining. The cold war, as nerve racking as it may have been, did provide a relative state of peace worldwide.

It is the ONLY answer when terrorists murder almost 3,000 civilians!!!
I am not a warmonger but what choice did we have? Maybe Iraq wasn't the best place to prosecute a war but there needs to be some response to such a heinous act.

We tried that in the early 1900's. It is called isolationism. We sat by as Hitler killed millions in Europe and Japan killed millions in Asia.
What do you think is the real answer to solving the issues in Darfur and other African areas?
I suggest war is like almost everything else, OK in correct moderation (a necessary evil)

Ah, sweet dreams. War is a function of the human condition. We will always have war and often war is justified. I sang the Stars Spangled Banner in school, not Deuchland Ober Alles thanks to folks like my dad. That war was absolutely the right answer.

There is a big difference between David and his son Solomon. David ruled in war with the world and with himself. He committed adultery and with his second wife he lost a son no matter how he prayed. Solomon on the other hand ruled in peace. He asked only for wisdom and God gave him riches also.
Also there was a big difference between God telling Abraham that
Issaac had to be the seed and Abraham abandoning Ismeal his son which was born of adultery with his servant. God would not have a man abandon his child.
The point is God wants us to love one another as we love ourselves. How can a man say he loveth God and loveth not his brother? How can you not love your brother who you have seen
and yet say you love God who you have not seen? War has been encouraged only a few times in the bible compared to as many times they said that God is in charge and if he wanted Iraq to kill off America with one stick of dynamite it would have happened unavoidably so. God has a plan for us all and he is in control.
War is wrong unless God tells you to do so. Aparently the Lord is with us because though we're helping Iraq and they don't want our help we could have had more loss. Let's pray for our troops/families to make it and for President George W. Bush to get saved.

Depends on the reason for the war. Tyrants are rarely interested in peaceful negotiations.
