ask dumb questions like Which is best McDonalds or Burger KIng, really is it that big of a problem to them? People also seem to flock to the most retarded questions to answer them. Why is that????

Well I would agree with that to some point but sometimes others are merely curious to know if they did the right thing for example a person may post his/her problem and then ask what would you do/have done in this situation. Ah yes lets not forget the easy 2 points.

Askers are desperate for their moment in the spotlight or they could just be hungry. Respondents are tired of thinking and this is an easy 2 points.
Both need to get out of their easy roller chairs and do something else but it is just toooooo much bother to leave the flock and get the burger.... resume real life.

No, the fate of the world doesn't depend on what burgers people prefer. But surely (I hope) you realize that significant problems would not be addressed here for the most part- after all people do have real life connections with real people, to help them deal with the tough stuff.
Sometimes the dopey (retarded) questions are amusing so it's fun to reply to them.

People are just curious about what other people's opinions are. The reason so many people answer those types questions is because, alot of people like giving their opinions and feel their opinions on things are correct and that people should listen to them.
PS - I like Burger King better! ;-)
