Long. They are more versatile, and flattering. Ankle boots can't be worn with as many things, they only work with jeans and pants. They also can make a woman's calf look heavy. A taller boot can be worn with jeans, pants, and many styles of dresses and skirts. They are more flattering to a woman's leg, and they aren't as subject to style changes. Ankle boots go in and out of style, while a knee boot is a more classic look.

Don't wear ankle boots with a skirt - this is a fashion mistake grannies tend to make. It makes the best legs look pretty horrendous. Long boots are more versatile as you can wear them with a skirt or underneath jeans/trousers. Plus they're a lot warmer at this time of year!

If its trousers than ankle boots!!
If its a sexy dress or skirt - long boots all the way!!
My fella loves me in my long boots - i think they drive men crazy - so if you wanna dress to impress a certain someone - definitely go with the long boots!!! - Go get em tiger!!!!

Long boots are always a very fashionable touch. If you're short statured, like I am, you may have to try on a few pairs before getting the right length. Just below the knee is probably best.

Depends on what you want them for... if you are wearing a skirt, go with the long boots, they are much more sexy... if you are wearing jeans.... go with the ankle boots... but the long boots are going to be much more versitile... especially if you are still tucking your jeans into your boots..
