I had non-consensual sex about five years ago and I catght some kind of infection from the guy. I went to see a doctor who told me it wasn't chlamydia and gave me some antibiotics and the syptoms went away. I am now married and have had two miscarriages. A home-test for chlamydia came back positive. What is going on? Have I had this for five years and did it cause my miscarriages?

That is a question for your doctor! I really don't know what to say except to tell you to seek medical and psychological advise. If that man did that to you he is a horrible person. Get the medical attention that you need and then take a time out before trying to conceive again. Everything will work out for you I know. I wish you so much of the very best. God bless you. It eventually will be OK and you will raise healthy happy children.

Maybe. I've had chlamydia infections that come and go during a marriage. There were five years from what you believe to be the infection point to now. A lot could have happened. The first thing you need to do is to see if your fallopian tubes and uterus are scarred. That is usually the problem that chlamydia causes in infertility. There are many causes for miscarriages and not all of them are caused by S.T.D.'s.

Good luck

Oh man, fist I just wanna say you are a trooper! I'm sorry you had to go through so much BS. I don't think you have has chlamydia for 5 years because:
If untreated, chlamydial infections can progress to serious reproductive and other health problems with both short-term and long-term consequences. Like the disease itself, the damage that chlamydia causes is often "silent."

In women, untreated infection can spread into the uterus or fallopian tubes and cause pelvic inflammatory disease (PID). This happens in up to 40 percent of women with untreated chlamydia. PID can cause permanent damage to the fallopian tubes, uterus, and surrounding tissues. The damage can lead to chronic pelvic pain, infertility, and potentially fatal ectopic pregnancy (pregnancy outside the uterus). Women infected with chlamydia are up to five times more likely to become infected with HIV, if exposed.

As far as the pregnancy:
In pregnant women, there is some evidence that untreated chlamydial infections can lead to premature delivery. Babies who are born to infected mothers can get chlamydial infections in their eyes and respiratory tracts. Chlamydia is a leading cause of early infant pneumonia and conjunctivitis (pink eye) in newborns.

It does not look so that the old episode is responsible for this . Consult a good sexologist to solve your problem.
