Router says Webb is selling out shows at clubs that use to be half empty. Third Coast (company) is even considering a "free Derek Webb Tour" to follow the album giveaway.

I want to understant what's meant by "selling out shows that use to be half empty" and "Free Derek Webb Tour" to follow the album giveaway.

"selling out shows at clubs that use to be half empty" means that he is selling enough tickets to fill up clubs (places where musicians perform) that have not been filling to capacity (and in fact have been only half filled or "half empty"). I'm assuming that the "free Derek Webb Tour" means that he is going to perform in a number of places (a tour) for free - no charge for admission.

'Selling out shows' means that all tickets to the show have been sold. That means the club is full. Ordinarily the club is 'half empty'.That means that half of the seats inside the club are usually empty. Or if you are an optimist, you could say that half the seats inside the club are usually filled with an audience. After the show, someone will win a free album ( it will be given away ). A free 'Derrick Webb Tour' means that in the future Webb may tour the country. If he is in your area ( or you can travel to the tour area ) you can get free admission to see his show.

"Selling out shows that used to be half empty." The shows used to sell only half the tickets available (for example, if the club holds 200 people, Webb was only selling 100 tickets; however, they are now selling all 200 tickets).

"Free Derek Webb Tour" can mean that the concert is free (no cost to anyone attending), or it's to free Derek Webb (is he in jail or being held hostage somewhere?).

Hope that helps!

"selling out shows that use to be half empty" means that before when they had a show they only sold about half the tickets but now they are selling all of them.
