In divorce court, having penetration with another person is considered cheating. All other things such as loving someone else, etc> are moral issues not bound by law!

In the dictionary cheating is defined as 'being sexually unfaithful'

But then there is fantasising about another person, text sex, Internet flirting, flirting with a colleague... are these not a form of cheating on your partner? Just because sex is not involved does that make it OK?

Cheating is lying.

All of the things i mentioned above cheating are OK if you have your partners consent but without it you are lying and cheating him/her.

It's the lies that hurt the most at the end of the day.

Sharing deep, feeling emotions with someone else when you are in a committed relationship with another. It doesn't always have to be sexual or even physical at all. Just sharing a deep seated problem, or thought with another is enough. You can go to a good friend , other than your partner , with a problem, for advice or opinions, but the really important things should be kept between the two of you. Not to mention the sex....of ANY kind!

An emotional relationship is cheating as well as a physical relationship. Don't rip your partners heart out and keep your mind on the relationship at hand. If you want someone else, then get out of your relationship before you pursue your next one. I would rather get dumped then for someone to hang on to me and be with someone else at the same time.

If you have made a commitment as an adult and break that commitment by acting on intentions for someone else without the knowledge of you partner, that is cheating.

Hiding extra cards under the table. Being the banker and hoarding the money. Sneaking extra hotels on the board. When the other person is in the toilet, looking at their hand. Sneaking other cards out the pack when they are making a cup of tea. Babylon Babylon I'm kicking up the Autumn leaves wondering where you might get to. crying out loud. la la la la

It depends on the person. I consider cheating where there is some kind of connection between your loved one and someone else. More then just a friendship.
