it's like the Aerosmith song "The Other Side."
one of the lines says: "Lovin' you has got to be... like the devil in the deep blue sea... forget about your foolish pride... take me to the other side!"
and then later on it says: "You loved me... you hate me... I used to be your lover... You know you had it comin' girl so take me to the other side."
and that pretty much sums up what "Fatal Attraction" means...

It is like standing on a cliff and you feel like you have to jump or standing front of a train and you know your obsession with it is going to kill you emotionally. Being attracted to someone when you know it is wrong or not the best thing for you. Becoming obsessed and miserable until you do not want to live without the object of your desire.. Good wake up call for men to enjoy what they already have.. instead of looking for more, don't bite off more than you can chew..

A fatal attraction is an attraction/relationship that you originally see as nothing more than a harmless diversion that quickly blooms into something more powerful (and typically destructive).

Ever see the movie, Fatal Attraction? It's when someone is so obsessed with you or you with them that them or you will do anything to get their attention,even if it means intentionally hurting them. (example: boiling their pet bunny rabbit)

For example: my fatal attraction to dark chocolate leads me to do all manner of bizarre things. Not really, but I do like the stuff.
