Faith is not a mental condition nor it is a belief in religion. Faith is a belief in God(s), supreme being or presence of divinity within ourselves. Religion is the way this faith is exercised. Seriously.

People need hope, we can't fuction without it. some thing to look forward to for religion this is being saved or treated like a king for eternaty. You will notice how anyone who follows religion never wants to go heaven and be given just enough to get by.
Even people who don't follow religion still need hope, for me its that 42 LCD tv, which will be mine (at some stage LOL).

I guess you could say that life itself is a mental condition. I don't believe in religion, I believe in God.

To ask yourself this question. Ask yourself have you ever believed in something you have never seen? For this is the essence of faith.
