If the squad was made up of the BEST players, then I'd imagine the team would be made of pretty much all England players, but maybe the odd Ryan Giggs but even still. However, I'd say a British team would still put in a few of every country into the squad otherwise there would be a lot of criticism.

Maybe a non-england British team would be cool.

I think majority of the squad would be English, but not all of it.

And that was mean to call players from scotland, wales, and northern ireland rubbish.

Giggs for a start would be in the team, Craig Gordon is twice the keeper that Paul Robinson is, and if Peter Crouch is a starter for England then I could probably name a dozen or so strikers who would be in the team before him.

England are a team full of prima-donnas who never perform whilst wearing an England shirt, are over-rated beyond belief(Lampard in particular),and look good in the Premiership because they are playing next to world class overseas players.

And I will tell you one thing. There is probably only 3 English players I would have in a Scottish team, namely Neville, Gerrard and Rooney, 3 guys who play with a bit of pride and passion!!!

Sadly, probably yes. Although I wouldn't do that if I was manager. I'd pick at least 3 players from each nation. At the moment it'd be

Maik Taylor(N Ireland)
Jamie Carragher(England)
Stephen Pressley(Scotland)
John Terry(England)
Danny Gabbidon(Wales)
Aaron Lennon(England)
Frank Lampard(England)
Nigel Quashie(Scotland)
Ryan Giggs(Wales)
Wayne Rooney(England)
James McFadden(Scotland)

If the manager was English or neutral then yep - all English with a couple of Welsh subs.

If the manager was Scottish then the whole team would be Scottish cos Scots are jealous of English football.

If the manager was Welsh it'd be 50:50 with English and Welsh.

N.Ireland isn't in Britain (in UK only) but if the manager wasf rom there, I reckon there'd be an even mix of English, Welsh, and N. Irish.

Ryan Giggs will be the most obvious choice at left wing. There's no better British player in that position at the moment.

We would definitely have had Ryan Giggs over the last few years as well, and thats probably about it. We could have done with John Hartson at the World Cup, perhaps.

And if anyone says 'Barry Ferguson' what about the games he 'played' for Blackburn - kind of proved he couldn't handle it in the Premiership there, he was totally outclassed, no way could he have made a British team.

Giggs and Kenny Miller would have to be in there, off the top of my head. (and if Walcott can make the WC squad then surely young Anthony Stokes should be given a go)
