demonstate atmospheric pressure.. contrary to public belief when you slurp you drink thru the straw, you are not pulling it to you. you are changing the atmospheric pressure in your mouth and the atmospheric pressure around you PUSHES THE DRINK INTO THE LOWER PRESSURED AREA. now don't walk in to class witha dr pepper in a cup and tell them this.. do it up right. you can use a bicycle tire, a vacuum pump to collapse a 1 gallon jug by hooking it up to the top. u will have to make a lid for it that will allow the demo to work. look around you. pumps are everywhere. at the gas station in your air conditioner just run with it. and good luck.
