It doesn't actually matter what time of day you take the pill, just take one EVERYDAY! How, exactly, do you 'forget' to use a condom? Next time use the morning after pill! Visit your local planned parenthood and ask for a couple to keep in a jewelry box somewhere just in case an accident like this occurs. Its saved me a few times!

You have to wait until at least the first day of your late period for a test to be effective.

ONce the mens' semum has been ejaculated inside of a women you can pee all you want to and jump up and down til the cows come home that isn't going to help at all. Why would they suggest that anyway? Were they kidding or do they really think that can solve the problem. First, you should never have sex with a full bladder it can cause a bladder infection and two,you will have to wait at least a few days after your period is due or it may be able to detect if there is a pregnancy hormone if you use First response which you can use five days before your period is due.It is best that you take the pill around the same time everyday but that is mostly to get into a habit of taking them. As long as you take them everyday you are fine. I am not certain about if you can be pregnant or not because rule of thumb is usually 2 weeks before your period or 2 weeks after is when you can usually get pregnant. As long as you took your pill the day after you forgot and didn't just blow it off I would say that you should be alright? Personnaly you really need to talk to your parents or a medical professional or even use the internet to get usefull information about pregnancy and how to avoid it and stop listening to your sorority sister because they don't know what they are talking about. Good luck and remember to be careful. Even though your on the pill you should still use a condom because of STD's the pill doesn't protect against that.

I would wait about 4 weeks from the date of possible conception, and go get a blood test. If you don't want to go for a blood test, then start the pregnancy tests. You should start to feel changes by then also. Sometimes they are falso though..after 14 years of trying, I know how crazy our bodies can act. Especially when we are anxious or worried about something. Just start testing about 4 weeks after you got carried away..Good luck..
Oh, once you find out go to amazingpregnancy.com for a calender of exactly how far along you are.

by having a pee afterwards does not help as your vagina and urethra are in two different places and jumping up and down does nothing to help it is just old wives tales. do a preg test. by getting your period in 2 weeks time means nothing as normally you will have your next and skip the rest until your baby arrives. if you had sex within 72hrs get the morning after pill ASAP!!

good luck

A litttle late now if you are pregnant chances are you are not on th pill it should not allow your body ro accept the baby. However if the child is meant to be then you could be. Wait and see if your period starts and if not take a test. If neg. go see your docotor and get checked out. If you dio not want a baby because it could embarrass your parents how caring and compassionate are they.

Jump up and down backwards?!? omg are people really still that stupid? Forgive my rudenes, but you are in college, you really shouldn't be that ignorant.
Accidents happen, but seems as though you will have to wait till you miss your period. Or call planned parenthood and ask them the best course of action...leave out the jumping up and down part...lol.

In order to prevent a pregnancy, I suggest you go to the pharmacist or your doctor and request the Morning After pill. This will prevent the egg from lodging into your uterus. But it has to be taken within 72 hours of having sex so get off the computer and go get it now!!!

The morning-after pill — a form of emergency birth control — is used to prevent a woman from becoming pregnant after she has had unprotected vaginal intercourse. Morning-after pills are generally considered safe, but many women are unaware that they exist. Here's how the morning-after pill works.

Human conception rarely occurs immediately after intercourse. Instead, it occurs as long as several days later, after ovulation. During the time between intercourse and conception, sperm continue to travel through the fallopian tube until the egg appears. So taking emergency birth control the "morning after" isn't too late to prevent pregnancy.

The active ingredients in morning-after pills are similar to those in birth control pills, except in higher doses. Some morning-after pills contain only one hormone, progestin (Plan B), and others contain two, progestin and estrogen. Progestin prevents the sperm from reaching the egg and keeps a fertilized egg from attaching to the wall of the uterus (implantation). Estrogen stops the ovaries from releasing eggs (ovulation) that can be fertilized by sperm.

The morning-after pill is designed to be taken within 72 hours of intercourse with a second dose taken 12 hours later. Side effects may include nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, fatigue and headache. According to the Food and Drug Administration, the morning-after pill is 80 percent effective in preventing pregnancy after a single act of unprotected sex.

Morning-after pills aren't the same thing as the so-called abortion pill, or mifepristone (Mifeprex). Emergency contraceptive pills prevent pregnancy. The abortion pill terminates an established pregnancy — one that has attached to the uterine wall and has already begun to develop.

Plan B is available to women 18 years and older without a prescription at most pharmacies. Women must show proof of age to purchase Plan B. For women 17 years old and younger, Plan B is available with a doctor's prescription.

do this, wait and see if your period shows up when you expect it. If it doesn't try a pregnancy test around the third or fourth day of your missed period.
