could be braxton hicks and oculd be you are getting ready. beware you are getting close. try doing alot of walking and see if they stay going it could be a natural type of induction. You know gravity and all and it can help alot to speed up labor if you can walk alot. I had it with a couple of mine and very soon they did not stop. Good luck and enjoy your new bundlw very soon.

It's normal for the uterus to contract occasionally. If you feel the contractions 4 or 5 times in one hour, you may be in labor. These contrations may be what's called Braxton Hicks. These contraction are not regular. They are sporatic and this is one way you can tell if what you are experiencing are true contractions.

Still Braxton Hicks...until your contractions are a steady 10 mintues apart. Your body is just getting you used to the contractions that you will be experiencing soon. If they are really bothering you, stay in bed or on the couch. Have your hubby wait on you hand and foot....you have a watermelon in front of you and deserve to be served. Congrats!

Contractions sometimes start 3-2wks before the do date. Thats normal. Your survix is getting ready for the baby. Just walk as much as you can this will help you alot when its time to have the baby. Don't shower with cold water, this causes the cervix to close. Shower with the water very warm. Not so hot just what you are able to take. This really helps your cervix to open quickly.

more than likely they are still braxton hicks...preparing you for the real ones which will begin very soon. braxton hicks always stop when you change position or drink a lot of water...they often do not increase in frequency or intensity whereas the real ones will increase in both

Sounds like you're really close! Your contractions are probably true contractions...they just haven't built up to being strong enough to make you go into labor. BH for me felt like nothing more than a painless tightening sensation around my stomach. When I started getting true contractions, they were like waves of weak period cramps. So long as they're not timeable, there's no reason to worry or rush to the hospital yet.
Good luck! =)

yes, their still braxton hicks. you'll get them until you have the baby. If they continue when you lay down or you can time them, then its time to call the doctor.

since you are so close to your due date, they are probably not BH contractions. i would guess that you are just starting to dilate and efface. nothing to worry about, you are just getting close to having your baby =) good luck!
