Did families come about as a result of a chain of events resulting from the "big bang"? Or, is there a divine origin of the family? How do we really know?

I'd say it really to do with strength in numbers as why the stay together. But you could also take in to account the way, in which studies have shown, people who stay away or are kept away from other people, start to have mental problems such as halucinations etc.

Groups stayed together for protection and for food. One, the weaker on, stayed behind to cook and do the hides, the other went out to get the meat. The family group only grew to about 25 people then they split because it was to hard to feed more. So two groups lived within a gathering distance for mutual aid.
