according to einsteins equation,if we travel at the speed of light then our mass will become infinite.so we cannot travel faster then light.for suppouse if we go back in past and try to change the past then it will not be possible because if i kill my grand father then how i will be in present????so obviously it violates the "cause and effect" principle of quantum mechanics. so time travel is not possible but still some scientist try to explain this phenomena diffrently like wise one of the physicist "RONALD L. MALLET" try to search on google search engine and see why they want to make time machine and what is his concepts.

Theoretically, IF there were faster than light travel, we could go back in time or forward. You might even be able to change the past, but this would just create a new present and future reality.
We still have to deal with the paradoxes that science can't abide. In the end, it still might not serve any useful purpose, and could be very destructive, like when atomic energy was first used.

According to this question, u are talking about time travel. Time travel is hypothetically true but practically, there are many problems. If someday, we would be able to travel faster than light, how would we be able to regulate that we have to go in the past or in the future. And how many hours, days, years, minutes or seconds in the future or past. If this thing is also regulated, then we would be able to travel in the past & change it but Time Machine would not be available for public use as anyone could figure out his/her personal interests

We cannot travel faster than light and no you can't reach the past. How can you be somewhere even before you leave to go there ?

Newtonian mechanics said the mass is constant, but Einstein said no, the mass will change with the velocity, and will become infinite when the velocity will touch the magic number, the velocity of light. so it is not possible to travel with the velocity of light.

past travel may be possible or may not be, the future will decide, but however, i think it will not be possible to change the past, the most you can visualize past, anyway that will also be interesting a lot.

no matter what science does , no matter how much they develop , one thing is certain they can never change the ordinary course of the nature . light is light its is in the form of a force , and we are human beings in the form of a body . nobody can ever travel faster than light no matter what scientists claim. and ya about the past , its again against nature , you cannot be omnipresent and how can you go back in time when that time has already become history....

suppose if you can go to past and view something that you don`t like, to change that thing you have to come back to earth during this time what you want to change will become past on earth thus if you can travel faster than light then you can only observe your past but can`t able to change it.

no that is not possible. a classic example of this was given by Charles Dickens(or may be H G Wells, not sure) in one of his plays.
In the play the author's grandson invents a time machine and goes back to the time when the author is writing the story(at that time the author is unmarried) and kills him and destroys this story.
Now the question arises that if the story were to be true then the grandson wouldn't be born at all and how can he come and kill his grandfather.sort of paradoxical
so changing the past is not possible

No - time slows down for an exterior observer observing you. think of you're utilising on the fee of sunshine alongside a street, then somebody who's status on the bus end will observe that YOUR watch is working gradual, yet you will see that your very own watch is working oftentimes. comparable with mass and length dilation contained in direction of holiday. that's when you consider which you're in a different physique of reference, when you consider which you're vacationing at different speeds.
