As long as you have a multi region DVD player and an NTSC compatible TV then you'll have have no problems.

Only if you have a DVD which can play it. Region 1 is US. Uk is region 2.

You'd be better to hold off and wait for season 9 which comes out at the end of January

You can preorder it

Only if you own a Multi-Region DVD Player or a Computer that allows all region DVDs. Trust me... I bought an Elijah Wood movie and that was region 1 and I still haven't been able to watch it. Damn regional codes!!

lol. i am getting a multi region dvd player for my christmas present and i tested it yesterday only to find that the picture was black and white. well in the end it turns out that your tv has to be compatible with NTSC for it to play in colour. the tv has to be really new for this though.

a region 1 dvd can only be played in a region 1 or multi region dvd player. sony sell them. its a normal region 2 player and then they install new software on to it for you so its compatible with all regions known at this current time.

You need to be able to make your DVD player multiregion. This usually is by inputting a code via your remote control or even a chip installed in some cases (Usually some Sony, Panasonic, Denon etc). A lot of the times this can also remove Macrovision, the ability to record your DVD to VHS etc.
A good source of codes and information can be found at http://www.videohelp.com/dvdhacks.php?
