Anyone ever been proved by their loved one that he or she was truly sorry for the wrong choices they made at one stage in their relantionship (and which caused you a lot of pain and loss of trust)? Maybe even after a vey long pause?

Yes..i have as someone else stated-unfortunatley it is part of the whole love package as they said..And the situation,everyone is different and handles things differently. But in my experience,yes i have forgave my husband for hurting me and we have moved on. But it is all about communication and if both people truely want to move on together. But love,true love that is..is definitly never picture perfect always ups and downs..

Nope. Hurt me once, shame on you. Hurt me twice, shame on me. He/She would have to be some kind of special to warrant risking being hurt again. Sounds like this person did something serious. I'd think long and hard if I were you. If you take back this person, go really, really slow!

Yes but, it was me that was hurt. I forgave but, it's very hard to forget. Then it happen again and I was asked to forgive again and, I did for the kids sake. There's not much feeling there today but, getting to old to care.

Yes, after 25 yrs, I forgave him, and we started a new relationship, which still did not work out.....no more second chances !
